Ebonised wood. Gilt bronze applications. Enamel cartouches. Richly scalloped, single-doored pendulum case. Round, scalloped top with Chronos as finial. Round dial with Roman hour cartouches and Arabic minute cartouches, central second, date display above the VI, and central alarm-setting. 8-day movement with quarter-hour chime on three bells and alarm

Inscribed on the backplate 'Julien Le Roy A Paris'.
