La Tauromaquia o arte de torear. Complete portfolio. 1959. 26 aquatint etchings on Japan. 20 x 29.5 (50.5 x 34.7cm). Introduction, imprint, and accompanying text by José Delgado alias Pepe Illo on Guarro (centre fold). 35 x 49.7cm. In loose greenish envelopes. One envelope is equipped with a drypoint etching. On the cover sheet there is an India ink drawing by the artist. 31.5 x 48cm. Signed and dated upper left: Picasso 2.12.63. As well as with a dedication: Pour mon cher ami. Gustavo Gilli, S.A., Barcelona (publisher). In original binding and slipcase with vellum coating and gilt lettering.

Aquatint etchings: All sheets discoloured under the mat. Partially with slight creases in the margins. One sheet irregularly trimmed (cat. rais. Baer, no.s 982 and 991). One sheet with slight discolouration in the upper left corner (cat.rais. Baer, no. 996). Text pages: With slight foxing as well as creases in the margins. Sheet edges minimally discoloured. One sheet in the margin slightly trimmed. Binding and slipcase: with traces of use.

The portfolio was published in a total edition of 263 copies. The portofolio has the editionnumber 30. It is one of eight examples from the edition of 30 that is not signed by the artist.The text pages are equipped with the artist's watermark (bull's head).
