PAIR OF ELEPHANT WITH MAHOUT AND BASKET.
China.

Porcelain decorated in famille rose and gold. Strong elephant marching forward. Over the head and back, he wears a saddlecloth with fringes and flower patterns. In the neck of the animal sitting a Manchurian as mahout with spread legs and leaning against a rectangular basket that may be used for transport of treasures. Height ca. 12cm, width 13cm. On the back of the basket a horizontal six-part mark Qianlong in iron red and possibly from the period. Condition A/B.

粉彩描金太平有象瓷塑（一對）

高約12cm/長13cm

雕塑由大象、滿族騎象人與寶缸組成。象身碩壯，直立前行狀，象背搭披垂流蘇、飾花卉團壽紋。騎象人雙腿叉開坐於象頸，背靠長方形寶缸。背面缸沿處礬紅橫書一行「大清乾隆年製」篆書寄託款。
