TWO BRONZE CENTAURS, A YOUNG AND AN OLD SO CALLED FURIETTI CENTAUR.
Italy. Presumably 19th century. After antiquity.

Bronze patinated. 43x31x15cm resp. 34x25x11cm. Condition A/B.

Copy of the famous Hellenistic sculptures, that were discovered in 1736 by Guiseppe
Alessandro Furietti in the Villa Hadrian in Tivoli. Today the centaurs are located in the
collection of the Capitoline museums.
