Provenance:
Private collection Bayern.

This bust is a historical antique copy of the original from between 1353 and 1336 BC,
which has been in the collection of the Egyptian Museum in Berlin since 1920. The sculptor Tina Haim-Wentscher was commissioned in 1913/14 to create a copy of the original bust, which was intended for James Simon and Emperor Wilhelm II. After the bust was given to the museum on permanent loan in 1920, Haim-Wentscher was again commissioned to create another version as a template for the reproduction of the bust.
