SLOMINSKI, ANDREAS
1959 Meppen
Title: Eimer Wasser.
Date: 1998.
Multiple. Various installation materials (plastic bucket, video, tap, copper pipes)
Bucket: Ø 26cm; Copper pipes: 100cm. With artist's fingerprint on enclosed certificate.
Deutsche Guggenheim, Berlin (publisher.). Number III/X.
Condition:
Bucket minimally stained. Otherwise the multiple is in very good condition.
Outside the edition of 100 numbered copies.
Slominski placed a bucket full of water between the books and shelves of the museum store. The white bucket was initially empty. Slominski hired a plumber to install a water line. On the back wall of the toilet, the main line was exposed and Slominski's pipes were connected. A faucet was installed at the end of the copper pipes. Water now flowed through this pipe into the bucket. After it had done its job, the pipe was removed again and the hole in the wall was bricked up. Only one trace remained: the plastic bucket full of water.
Provenance:
- Deutsche Guggenheim Berlin
- Collection Prof. Dr. Olbricht, Essen
