The photographic works by Andrew Putter deal with the topic of colonialization and memories about the Hottentotten who describes herself as Khoekhoe and who lives there where Cape Town is today, as well as memories about the dutch flower painting from 17th century. As there is little left of the 2000 year old khoekhoe culture the artist makes use of flowers, stones, insects and vessels which all originate from the pre-dutch cape, the original world of khoekhoe. Today, many plants have died out, are endangered or scares to see.
