Title: Saint Marina the Great Martyr with the Dragon on an Octagonal Pedestal.
Date: Ca. 1360/65.
Technique: Sandstone, polychromatic and sculpted in the round. Mounting damaged, crossbar lost.
Measurement: 94 x 33 x 23cm.
Certificate:
Franz Kieslinger, 2nd August 1954.
Kieslinger describes this sculpture as 'probably the original statue from the old Margarethen altar, which stood on the old gallery of St. Stephen's Cathedral' and attributes it to Heinrich der Warenhofer, who died in 1417.

Private ownership, Germany;
acquired by Auktion Lempertz, 14th November 2015, Lot 1845.
We would like to thank Guido de Werd, Cologne, who confirmed the attribution after examining the original sculpture.
