Date: End of the 19th century.
Maker/Designer: Johann Heinrich Heller (1830 - 1906).
Technique: Wooden box, partly with trompe l'oeil painting. Brass movement.
Measurement: Box 17x57x22cm.
Mark: On the inside of the lid company label with indication of the melodies.
Condition B.

Provenance:
Private collection Rhineland.

The company Heller in Bern belongs to the most important music box manufacturers in Switzerland. The company was founded by Johann Heinrich Heller around 1866. His son Heinrich Karl (Henry) joined the company in 1883 directed it until his death in 1943.
