Subtitle: 4-part.
Date: 2006.
Technique: Each: Brass and pewter on black medium density fibreboard. Set up on black medium density fibreboard base plate.
Measurement: Total measurements: 57 x 52 x 52cm.
Notation: Each monogrammed and titled beneath the board: M-D Pyr. Here additionally numbered 1-4 and with details regarding the order. Again monogrammed, dated and titled beneath the base plate. As well as inscribed with catalogue raisonné number 910.
Frame/Pedestal: White wood base (76 x 76 x 33cm).
The work is listed under the number 910 with the title "Pyramide II" in the unpublished update of the catalogue raisonné
Provenance:
- Private collection Rhineland-Palatinate (directly from the artists)
- Late work of the masters of informal sculpture
- Characteristic of the late phase is the dissolution of the closed form
- Formally strict, geometric composition, which at the same time appears dematerialised.
- A large-format version can be found in the artists' sculpture park in Schönfeld.
VAN HAM Art Estate has represented the artistic estate of Brigitte and Martin Matschinsky-Denninghoff for the Matschinsky-Denninghoff Foundation of the Berlinische Galerie since 2022.
