Literature:
- Georg W. Költzsch (ed.): Matschinsky-Denninghoff, Monographie und Werkverzeichnis der Skulpturen, Cologne 1992, cat. rais. no. 667, ill.

- "Wirbel" convinces by means of its interplay between compact linear form of soldered tube bundles and the open structure of unordered wires
- Already in 1967 the artist couple created their first sculptures made of steel pipebundles that henceforth will become characteristic of their art
- The often monumental sculptures of the artist couple are characterised bya graceful lightness that seemingly suspends the laws of gravity.
