18K GOLD LARGE ART DECO CIGARETTE CASE.
Cartier. Paris.
Date: Ca. 1930.
Maker/Designer: Execution probably by F. Nicoud.
Technique: 18k gold, 4 small sapphires on the latchkey.
Description: Flat, rectangular shape with grooved decoration. Ligature monogram ornament on the top.
Rectangular handle with sapphire inlay on the side. Hinged and openwork bolt on the inside
of the bottom.
Weight: Ca. 210g.
Measurement: 1x12x8,5cm.
Mark: Inspection mark for gold (Rosenberg No.6595, 6596), maker's mark slightly indistinct, probably F. Nicoud (from the end of the 19th cent.). On the sides of the latchkey seller's signature 'Cartier Pari.
Name engraving on the inside.
