CORAL-PENDANT-NECKLACE.
Date: Presumably ca. 1890.
Material: 333/- yellow gold, tested.
Total Weight: ca. 29,5 g.
Measurement: Pendant ca. 3,6 x 2,3 cm, length necklace ca. 66,0 cm.
Diamonds: 1 tiny diamond in rose cut Ø ca. 0,7 mm.
Organic Matter: Ca. 175 Sardinian red coral beads Ø ca. 3,7 - 4,3 mm, 1 oval carved element of Sardinian red coral ca. 3,3 x 2,0 cm, 2 tiny pearl buttons Ø ca. 1,0 mm.
Description: Necklace of coral beads with one oval coral pendant with carved female bust, framed by gold borders. Necklace clasp shaped like a golden hand.
The proceeds will go to a charitable foundation.
Condition: Consistent with its age in good condition, traces of usage and wear in the form
of scratches visible. The coral beads show growth stripes, at the coral pendant distinct
growth stripes as well as occasional rougher growth characteristics such as open pores.
One pearl buttin missing. Gold at the clasp and pendant oxidised and tarnished in places.
