STONE APOSTLE JUG WITH CENTRAL COAT OF ARMS.

Date: Dated 1696.
Technique: Brown, salt-glazed stoneware with polychrome enamel decor, the robes of the apostles partly heightened in gold. Hinged pewter lid.
Description: The twelve apostles on a grass base between beaded rings with relief ornament. Each
inscribed above them in a white band. On the lower edge a revolving motto "Drinck mich auß
und schenck mich wieder ein dass du erfrischst daß herze dein".
Measurement: Height 21cm.
Mark: Dated 1696 under the top of the handle.

Estate of Wilhelm Zersch, former tenant of the Fürstliche Brauerei Bad Köstritz.
