Technique: India ink on JWZANDERS (watermark).
Measurement: 63 x 50cm.
Notation: Signed and dated verso: Erich Heckel 22. As well as titled lower right: Schlafende.
Condition:
Minimally discoloured in the margins. Occasional minimal stainings. Verso circumferential remains of an old mounting. Otherwise in very good condition.
The drawing was confirmed by the Erich Heckel Archive. We are grateful for the kind scientific support. The indicated bearded male head in the background reports a section from Heckel's murals in the atelier in Osterholz and reapppears in different variations across works, similar to the lithograph "Frauenkopf", 1922 (Ebner/Gabelmann 782 L).
