Notation: Signed and dated lower right: FATHWINTER 46. As well as titled, inscribed, signed and dated verso: "AUFSTIEG" KOMP X 19/46 OEL AUF HARTFASER FATH (WINTER - MURNAU) MURNAU - AM EICHHOLZ 262.
Frame/Pedestal: Framed (92 x 72cm).
Condition:
Minimal dirt accululation in the impasto areas. Occasional minimal rubbing. Otherwise very good condition. Not examined out of the frame.
Verso an estate label with the number 92 and monogrammed by the artist's son, Michael Winter. The estate was archived by J. Scholz Auktionen, Cologne. According to oral testimony by the artist's son, the work has not been offered at auction before.
