Technique: Oil on canvas.
Measurement: 125 x 85cm.
Notation: Signed and dated lower centre: FATHWINTER 51. As well as signed, inscribed, titled and dated verso: FATHWINTER MURNAU/OBB Allemagne/Germany "Geformtes zu Spontanem" Oel, 1951.
Condition:
Tear at the centre of the right margin (glued verso). Slight rubbing at the edges. Otherwise in good condition.
Verso an estate label with the number 229 and monogrammed by the artist's son Michael Winter. The estate was archived by J. Scholz Auktionen, Cologne. According to oral testimony by the artist's son, the work has not been offered at auction before.
