FOUR DIORAMAS WITH NATIVE BIRDS AND A WOODPECKER ON A BRANCH.
Date: Ca. 1910.
Technique: Prepared specimen of birds in dioramas with glass and wooden frames. Backgrounds with oil prints or painted.
Description: Sparrowhawk (Accipitridae), h.41cm, 28x26cm. Three quails (coturnix), h.40cm, 45x26cm.
Capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus), h.39cm, 44x19cm. Two sparrow hawks (Accipitridae) and a
songbird. H.40cm, 49x17cm. Great spotted woodpecker (Dendrocopos major). H.ca.22cm.
Condition B/C. Enclosed: Taxidermy: Grey wagtail. L.15cm.
