SCHAEFLER, FRITZ1888 Eschau - 1954 Cologne
Title: Karneval in der Scheune.
Date: 1930s.
Technique: Mixed media on card.
Measurement: 33 x 27cm.
Condition:
Staining on the surface of the painting and a few punctual losses of paint in the impasto areas. At the right edge of the picture in the centre in two places losses of paint (up to max. 2,5 x 0,5 cm); in this area the paint layer has become slightly detached from the support. Slight loss of paint in the upper left and lower right corners; here the paint layer has slightly detached from the support. Slight loss of paint and material in the centre of the lower edge of the image ( ca. 1 cm). Minimal losses of paint along the edges of the image. Otherwise the work is in good condition. The work was examined under UV light.
