OVAL GOLD TABATIERE WITH FLOWER BOUQUETS.

Maker/Designer: Worked for the oriental market.
Technique: Golden. Colourful enamel decor.
Description: Oval, hinged form with a wavy lid rim. The lid and base each feature an oval medallion
with fine bouquets of flowers on a turquoise and green ground. These are framed in a pink
ground with forget-me-nots, as are the sides.
Weight: Ca. 65g.
Measurement: 1,5x7x4,5cm.
Mark: Paris import stamp for gold work 1864-93 (Rosenberg no. 6614).
Enamel slightly bumped resp. reworked.

Rhenish private collection, acquired from Christie's London, 9th December, 2008, lot 43.
