Title: Porträt Benjamine Kolbe.
Date: 1915.
Technique: Bronze, red-brown patinated.
Measurement: 36,5 x 16 x 23cm.
Notation: Monogrammed on the right side edge: GK (in ligature).
Foundry Mark: Foundry mark verso at lower edge: H. NOACK BERLIN.

It is a lifetime casting made 1915. The bronze is unique. A revised version from 1929 is in the holdings of the Georg Kolbe Museum, Berlin, and is listed there under number 124.

Provenance:
- Collection Oskar Schmitz, Dresden (directly from the artist)
- Private collection Dresden (by succession)
- Private collection North Rhine-Westphalia (by succession)

- One of Kolbe's most beautiful portrait busts of his beloved wife Benjamine
- Family owned since the beginning and offered for the first time on the art market
- The slight stylisation and cubic forms shows the expressionist influences of the time on Kolbe's work
