Technique: Egg tempera on card.
Measurement: 48,5 x 63cm.
Notation: Signed and dated lower left: Gerhard Fietz 1946.
Condition:
Traces of moisture in the lower right area of the image. Pinholes in the corners. Three tears at the edges (from ca. 0.4cm to 2.5cm). Scattered light rubbing. Occasional small chips of the upper painting layer, especially at the lower edge on the left and in the centre. Occasional slight bruising of the edges. Verso remains of an old mounting as well as water stains and minimal rubbing. Otherwise good condition.
The work is listed in the artist's handwritten catalogue raisonné under the number 0352, 1964/25. We thank Judith Fietz for her kind scientific support.
