GILDED BUDDAH SHAKYMANUNI ON LOTOS THRONE.
Origin: Myanmaar. Shan-Staaten.
Date: 18th c.
Technique: Gilded over a red-brown lacquer setting.
Description: Sitting in meditation on a high, double, hourglass-shaped lotus above a stepped platform.
The right hand is in bhumisparsha mudra, the left hand lies above the feet with the palm
facing upwards.
Measurement: Height 33cm, distance of the knees 11,3cm.
Gilding heavily worn.
