Notation: Signed and dated lower right: G.A. Hessl 1883.
Frame/Pedestal: Framed.
Verso:
Old inventory and sales labels on the panel as well as inventory numbers and illegible designation (?) on the framing. With pasted excerpts from publications and artists' encyclopaedias.
Condition:
Painting surface minimally stained and dusty, otherwise closed and without chipping of paint or breaking. Irregularly removed fluorescent varnish, especially visible on the girl's skirt and the staircase. Minimal tear of ca 2 cm in the painting surface at the bottom in the area of the slippers. Otherwise in a good condition.
Frame: Slight bumping and minimal chipping of paint in the corners.
