Darboven/Edition Schellmann, Munich (publisher). Each framed. Not examined out of the

Condition:
Very good condition.
Hanne Darboven's 'World Theatre' is based on a conceptual design. In this edition, a deep black dominates each sheet, taking up about two thirds of the surface. On the right-hand side, a white isosceles triangle breaks through the darkness and opens up a view of a collage-like scene. Advertising figures appear there, labelled with the logo of the traditional family business IWE Darboven. The individual sheets are numbered consecutively - corresponding to the days of a calendar year - and supplemented by a separate title page. In this work, Darboven combines her typical examination of time structures with personal and economic-historical elements.
Provenance:
- Galerie Elisabeth Kaufmann, Basel/Zürich
- Private collection Great Britain
