Date: Presumably 19th c.
Maker/Designer: Based on the Hellenistic model of one of the so-called "Furietti-Kentauren".
Technique: Iron, dark patina. Black stone base.
Measurement: Figure: 18x14x6,5cm, Socket: 2x15,5x10cm.
Copy of the famous Hellenistic sculptures discovered in 1736 by Guiseppe Alessandro
Furietti at the Villa Hadrian in Tivoli. The centaurs are now in the collection of the
Capitoline Museums.
