EXTRAVAGANT VENETIAN STYLE ARM CHAIR.

Maker/Designer: In the manner of Andrea Brustolon.
Technique: Carved walnut. Grey upholstery.
Description: Above four strutted feet with a lion's head, two fully sculpted boys holding the armrests.
The upper end of each armrest is designed as a putto resting on his back.
Measurement: 70x90x81cm.
This armchair is worked in the style of the sculptor Andrea Brustolon (1662-1732), who
worked mainly in Venice and Rome. His sculptural furnitures were in great demand among his
contemporaries. For example, he created a very elaborate interior for a hall of the
Ca'Rezzonico in Venice, today called Brustolon Hall.
