LARGE PORTICO CLOCK WITH MINERVA.

Dubuc, Jean-Baptiste. Paris

Date: Around 1780/90.
Technique: Marble, gilt bronze.
Description: Architectural plinth with central staircase and two large columns on the sides. Between
them a sculptural figure of a lion. The cylindrical clock case set between the two columns
and crowned by a large figurine of Minerva. Large, flattened 14-day pendulum movement with
thread suspension and half-hour strike on bell. Sun pendulum.
Measurement: 65,5x47x19cm.
Mark: Dial inscr. "Dubuc à Paris" (Tardy p.193).
Enclosed: P&K.
