Description: Oval, hinged body with engine-turned surfaces. Fine floral tendrils in green gold and red
gold along the rims. Oval reserves on the side with musical figures and a turtle dove,
also accentuated in colour.

Mark: Inspection mark Paris 1781/ 82 (Rosenberg no.6435, 6547), maker's mark Jean-Baptiste-François Charité (active 1774-1806), later guarantee stamp (from 1838, ibid. no. 6597).
