The artwork is a drapo Vodou or Voodoo flag. Such flags were originally created for voodoo temples and depicted voodoo scenes and deities. This type of richly beaded flag was designed in the 1990s by Myrlande Constant, a former bridal dressmaker, and elevated to an art form in its own right.

Condition:
On the left side the knob of the flagpole broke off and was replaced by the eylet. Otherwise the work is in very good condition.
