Portfolio with 1 gouache on vellum and 11 colour etchings on Japan to poems by Robert
Ganzo. With a suite of the same 11 colour etchings on paper d'Auvergne. Gouache: 16 x
17cm. Colour etchings: 9 x 9cm to 15 x 18cm. Unfolded double sheets: 38 x 57cm, sheets of
the suite: 38 x 29cm. Signed and dedicated by the author. Librairie Auguste Blaizot, Paris
(publisher).
Condition:
Sheets minimally discoloured in the margins. Some sheets with occasional minor foxing. Suite with minimal bleeding through of printing ink. Cover bound in transparent paper. Otherwise good condition.
One of two author's copies on Japan with the suite on paper d'Auvergne and the gouache on vellum. Outside the edition of 84 copies. Difficult to read note with dedication by the author and reference to his arrest by the Gestapo in 1943 and his escape.
