Notation: Signed lower centre: Josef Wittlich. Inscribed verso: 12/ o.V5. Dr. Honisch.
Condition:
Tear from the upper image margin to the queen's face (ca. 22cm long, pasted on verso). Two small breakthroughs in the upper left corner area, one in the centre of the upper margin and one in the upper right corner area, both pasted on verso. Occasional small paint chips, especially in the white horse. Staining in the upper left corner. Nail holes, torn out in upper and lower margin. Occasional light creases and minimal staining. Stained on verso.
Signed, titled and inscribed Wittlich josef Königin Elisabeth Sammlung Dieter Honisch on the former frame back.
