"I started out as a painter. Today, I'm both painter an sculptor in equal parts. The third dimension has always been important to me. I want people to walk into a picture in order to feel the tension between the object and the space around it, between postive and negative. The colors I use invest the objects with life and emotion. That interaction is extremely important in my work."
Katharina Fritsch in conversation with Jacqueline Burckhardt, Parkett no. 100/101, 2017.
Article on the work and artist from Parkett edition no. 100/101.
