Date: Around 1770.
Maker/Designer: Jacob Möllinger Wittib.
Technique: Case made of oak and walnut. Gilt dial, silver gilt digits.
Description: Eight-day movement with quarter-hour chime on two bells (1 weight pulley). Carillon on 11
bells with 20 hammers, in total 7 melodies. Repetition.
Measurement: 258x54x34cm.
Mark: Inscribed on the dial.
In need of restoration. Movement with several repairs, some of which are historic. Pendulum and weights not original.
Elisabeth Möllinger continued the workshop of her late husband Johann Jacob in
Neustadt/Weinstr. as his widow from 1763 to 1787. She traded with the addition of "Wittib"
to the firm's name.
