Technique: Veneer in Boulle technique, tortoise shell and brass ornamentally inlaid. Gilt bronze applications. Enamel cartouches.
Description: Richly curved form. The case is glassed on three sides and richly decorated with acanthus leaves and cupids, crowned by Cupid. The dial with Roman hour
hour cartouches and Arabic minutes along the outside of the rim. Rectangular pendulum movement with verge escapement, spring suspension and half-hour strike on an overhead bell.
Mark: "Lambertin Paris" inscr. on the dial and on the movement plate (master from the Lambertin family, see Tardy p. 346).
