LARGE PUNCHBOWL.

Vierthaler, Ludwig. 1875 München - 1967 Hannover.

Date: Around 1906.
Maker/Designer: Made by the metal workshop Eugen Ehrenböck.
Technique: Copper, metal, silver-plated, coloured enamel.
Description: Flatly slanting plinth with a ring-shaped band, openworked in meanders. On it the widely
protruding, half-spherical bowl. On the sides two large clasp-shaped handles with volute
bands. Along the upper rim a broad, circumferential decorative band with alternating
rectangular and circular sections. These with geometric, coloured enamel décor and applied
mother-of-pearl panels. The flat lid with a grooved rim crowned by a handle in the shape
of a peacock. Body and lid with martelé surface .
Measurement: Height 41cm, width 54,5cm.
Mark: Without detectable marks.
