LARGE PORCELAIN HANDLED BOWL WITH DECORATION FROM THE SWAN SERVICE.

Meissen.
Date: 20th c.
Maker/Designer: Model J. J. Kaendler.
Technique: Porcelain, sparingly enriched in colours and painted in gold.
Description: Large platter with two attached handles in a knotted look. The plate has a slightly fluted
rim with shell ribs and a wavy rim along the edge. Two swans facing each other in the
centre, swimming on the waves of a reed-fringed pond. A stylised three-leaf frieze along
the edge of the flag. On the flag, the large alliance coat of arms
Brühl-Kolowrat-Krakowský with flanking lions, as well as three bouquets with "Indian
flowers" and small scattered blossoms.
Measurement: 11x43x50cm.
Mark: Swords mark, painted blue under glaze.
