MONUMENTAL PORCELAIN POTPOURRI-VASE "FLORA AND AMOR".

Meissen.
Date: Before 1924.
Maker/Designer: Model J.J. Kaendler.
Technique: Porcelain, enriched in colours and gold.
Description: Reversed pear shaped body with branch shaped handles. The sides decorated with densely
applied blossom tendrils and fruit. On the round base sits Flora with a flower basket, a
putto is hovering on the vase's side. The front and back are decorated with framing flower
drapings. On the front large Watteau scene, on the back flower bouquet. Ovoid shaped
flower arrangement on openwork lid. Square base on four volute feet also with richly
applied floral decor.
Measurement: Height pedestal 11cm, height vase incl. lid 62cm.
Mark: Swordsmark, one grind, on pedestal H178a, porcelain former's no. 60, painter's no. 9 in red and 5 in green.
