PORCELAIN POTPOURRI VESSEL "CARITAS".

Meissen.
Date: 19th century.
Maker/Designer: Model J.F. Eberlein.
Technique: Porcelain, enriched in colours and gold.
Description: Vase in stout urn shape, mounted on a tree stump above a narrow nature base. Diagonally
fluted, highly vaulted, pierced lid decorated with threedimensional flowers and a rose
knob. The body of the vase decorated with flowers, vines and twigs. Sitting on base, a
mother with 4 children as an allegory of Caritas.
Measurement: Height (with lid) 31,5cm.
Mark: Swordsmark with one grind, 884, porcelain former no. 58, painter no. 10.
