  PORCELAIN TEA CADDY WITH RARE SCENES OF THE CLOTH TRADE.

Date: Ca. 1760.
Maker/Designer: Decor presumably Franz Ferdinand Mayer.
Technique: Porcelain, enriched in colours.
Description: Foursquare tea caddy with rounded shoulder and round lid with floral finial. The sides of
the box are decorated with paintings of artisanal and commercial scenes depicting parts of
the fabric trade and manufacture.
Measurement: Height 13cm.
Mark: Swords mark, painted blue under glaze (faint).
