Date: 20th c.
Maker/Designer: Draft J.J. Kaendler.
Technique: Porcelain, modelled, relief, enriched in colours and gold.
Description: Oval body of the tureen with shell decor in relief resting on four feet. Two of them are painted as dolphins, two as mascaron feet with bearded, reed-crowned neptune faces. The sides are painted with sculpted shells, individual flowers and lobster tails. The side handles are designed as two fish-tailed triton boys. The lid is crowned by Galatea riding on a water-spouting dolphin with her lover Acis under a cloth billowing in the wind .

One leaf broken off.
Measurement: Tureen 44/36/25cm.
Mark: Swords mark, painted blue under glaze, cameo no. 215 m, 05020, painter's mark 80.
