RARE PORCELAIN BOX IN THE SHAPE OF A SEATED TURK.
Meissen.
Date: Ca. 1750.
Maker/Designer: Model presumably P. Reinicke/ J.J. Kaendler, 1744.
Technique: Porcellain, enriched in colours, golden. Copper mounting, gilt.
Description: Box in the shape of a seated Turk with turban and wide, flower-decorated outer garment
over a purple undergarment with collar. Inside the lid of the box is a fine painting based
on the epic poem "Reinecke Fuchs".
Measurement: Height 8,9cm.
