TWO LARGE PORCELAIN CENTERPIECES WITH MUSICIANS.

Meissen.
Date: 18th century.
Maker/Designer: Model J.J. Kaendler and assistants, 1751.
Technique: Porcelain, enriched in colours and gold.
Description: Each with drop-shaped rocaille base with threedimensional flowers and plants attached. In
the center, under a tree, young shepherdess playing the mandolin, in front of her a big
basket with fruits. The other one with young shepherd with flute and a small dog at his
feet.
Measurement: a) Height 29cm, width 29,5cm. b) Height 25,5cm, width 27,5cm.
Mark: a) Without recognizable marks , 11 and 9:7 carved. b) Swordsmark and collection tag 'Sammlung Britzke F172'.
