VERY EARLY PORCELAIN TEA CADDY WITH CHINOSERIES.

Date: Ca. 1725/30.
Technique: Porcelain, enriched in colours, golden.
Description: The rectangular box with gilded edges, shoulder and gilt lid.
A cartouche with purple chandeliers and feather decoration on each of the sides and the lid. Very early paintings in the cartouches, which combine the typical harbour scenes of the Meissen manufactory with the chinoiseries based on the Schulz Codex, creating a very detailed and harmonious pictorial programme of Far Eastern type.
Measurement: Height 12cm.
Mark: Swords mark, painted blue under glaze, only very faintly discernable.
