MIXED LOT OF GARNET-NECKLACE AND BROOCH.
Material: Clasp 333/- yellow gold, tested, brooch silver and base metal, tested, needle 333/- white gold, tested.
Total Weight: ca. 97,5 g.
Measurement: Length ca. 55,5 cm, brooch ca. 6,2 x 3,6 cm.
Gemstones: Ca. 227 garnets in various rose-cuts ca. 1,4 - 5,6 x 1,4 - 4,0 mm, 9 unround faceted garnet rows.
Description: 9-row garnet necklace with decorative gold clasp which shows two joined right hands. These
have already been symbols for love and friendship since antiquity.
Condition: according to age in good condition, traces of wear in the form of slight to
more severe scratches. Gold clasp broken, visible joints and repaired areas, oxidised.
Garnets with slight abrasions. In the brooch a garnet is missing. Brooch verso distinctly
oxidised and discoloured with occasional joints. Needle post hoc.
