Origin: Khmer.
Dynasty: Bayon period (1180-1230).
Technique: Reddish beige sandstone, finely carved and polished.
Description: The face with a fine smile, the eyebrows curved as elegant arches over the lowered eyes.
The hair as small elevations, the tip with flames and spiral.
Measurement: Height 34cm.
Frame/Pedestal: Mounted on a metal base. Storage case.
Provenance:
German private collection, acquired at Kunsthandel Venzke, Berlin, 1996.
