TABLE CLOCK "SUN, MOON AND STARS" MADE OF GLASS AND PARTIALLY GILT SILVER.

Date: 20th century.
Maker/Designer: Emile Puiforcat.
Technique: Colourless glass, partially gilt silver.
Description: Consisting of a pedestal with waved rim. Inserted into it, a high, rectangular panel. The
clockwork in a round medallion at its top. The hours shaped as stars, the watch hands with
crescent moon and star. On top of it a partially gilt silver shade with crescent moon,
stars and suns worked à jour.
Measurement: 34,5x23x5,5cm.
Mark: Board & back covers of the clockwork marked: French guarantee of standard 950 (Rosenberg No.5880), maker's mark Emile Puiforcat (from 1857 onwards).
