VERMEIL DESSERT CUTLERY IN LEATHER CASE.

Maker/Designer: Jean-Baptiste Dutrevis / Charles Gavet.
Technique: Gilt silver. Fruit knives with mother-of-pearl handles. 12 knives with steel blades. Leather case with brass fittings, lined inside with red suede.
Description: Each handle in spade shape with thread decoration. Consisting of 30 dessert spoons and 30
dessert forks, 24 dessert knives and 3 serving spoons.
Weight: Ca. 3634g.
Measurement: Length of spoon: 19cm, forks: 18.5cm, knife: 20.5cm, serving spoon: 22cm. Box: 11.5x43.5x29cm.
Mark: a) Spoons, forks: Parisian inspection mark (Rosenberg no.6578, 6592, 5882), maker's mark Jean-Baptiste Dutrevis (1823-1836, Beuque no.2.759).
