Title: Garderobe.
Date: 1935.
Technique: Watercolour on Fabriano (watermark).
Measurement: 57 x 38cm.
Notation: Signed and dated lower right: P. Kl. 35.
Condition:
Minimally wavy due to the manufacturing process. Pinholes in the margins. Two tears in the lower left margin (each ca. 1cm, backed on verso). Verso remains of an old mounting as well as minimally discoloured and slight stainings. Otherwise in good condition.
VAN HAM Art Publications has begun to compile a new catalogue raisonné of the
paintings and works on paper on the basis of the dissertation "Paul
Kleinschmidt 1883-1949", 1977, by Dr. Barbara Lipps-Kant. This is being done in co-operation with the artist's descendants and the Paul Kleinschmidt Society e.V. The artwork will be included in this catalogue raisonné.
