Slightly yellowed varnish. Partially slight craquelure. Slight rubbings at the edges (due to the framing). Low canvas tension. Minimally stained painting surface. Under UV light no retouches or overpaintings are visible. Otherwise in good condition. Not examined out of the frame.
Copy by the father of the artist Max Ernst after the painting of the Madonna Immaculata von Bartolomé Esteban Murillo.
